花をくわえた鳥「花喰い鳥」の文様を用いたタペストリーです。
この意匠はかつて正倉院文様にも用いられ、生命の再生を象徴する吉祥文様として親しまれてきました。
鳥は古代中国の伝説に登場する瑞鳥・鳳凰を思わせる存在で、非常に縁起の良いモチーフです。
本来は格式高い袋帯に用いられる文様ですが、単色で繊細に再構成されることで、日常空間にも美しく馴染む作品に仕上がっています。
