This obi features shining golden embroidery of leaves and branches on a very finely woven, stiff vermilion background.

This obi is called a Nagoya obi, and is a simplified version of a regular obi that is easier to tie, but as it is worn in casual settings, it often features one-point patterns like this one.

The leaves appear three-dimensional because they are embroidered using several types of gold thread.
