流れるような「立涌(たてわく)」文様を用いた、格式高い作品です。

立涌は約1,400年にわたり貴族の装束に用いられてきた有職文様のひとつです。

その中に「花菱」や「五三桐」の豪華な刺繍が施されており、かつて最高位の貴族の装いに用いられていた格式を感じさせます。

もともとは未婚女性の第一礼装である振袖に合わせられていた帯です。

Luxurious embroidery of Hanabishi and Gosan no Kiri adds a sense of noble elegance.

Originally, this obi was designed to accompany the formal furisode.
