Material: Silk

This kimono, called Tomesode, is the highest formal attire for married women, and can only be worn by the bride and groom's relatives at the wedding.

Additionally, the accessories worn with this kimono must be gold, silver, or white.

It is made more solidly than a regular kimono and is heavier.

It depicts a flock of cranes flapping their wings.

Cranes are the birds most often used for auspicious occasions in Japan, and some are depicted realistically, like this kimono, while others are designed.

This piece called “Maizuru” depicts cranes flying flowy through the air. It represents joy and dignity.

This family crest is called Sokaku.

This is a relatively rare family crest, and the owner of this kimono may have drawn this pattern with the family crest in mind.

This is the history of this kimono before they meet you.

Now they will make another history with you.
