道行と呼ばれる、着物の上に羽織るコートのようなアイテムです。
外出時に着用し、室内では脱ぐのが特徴です。
朱色に染められた「松川菱」の文様の中に、手仕事による「絞り」の白い四角い模様が一つひとつ丁寧に施されています。
絞りは非常に手間のかかる技法で、現代ではますます貴重なものとなっています。
また、背裏には「絵草紙」を思わせる折りたたみの挿絵が描かれており、さまざまな装丁を楽しめる遊び心あふれる一着です。

This piece is a Michiyuki, a coat-like outer garment worn over kimono and removed indoors.
Within the vermilion Matsukawabishi motif, hand-crafted white Shibori squares are carefully arranged one by one.
The lining features illustrations reminiscent of traditional Ezoushi picture books, adding a playful and artistic charm.
