The family crest on the upper centre of the back is a typical family crest called Gosan no Kiri.
There are three types of family crests that are created during the kimono making process: those that are created by removing colours, those that are created by adding colours, and those that are created by embroidery like this kimono.
 
This embroidered family crest is considered more casual than other family crests, but it is thought that the embroidery was added at the end of this finished kimono to match this stylish design.
 
The lining has a bold geometric pattern.
