全体に見られる小さな四角い模様は、「鹿の子」または「絞り」と呼ばれる技法によるものです。
染色の際に一つひとつ糸で括り、その部分だけ染まらないようにする非常に手間のかかる技法で、それぞれわずかに異なる形を持つのが特徴です。
こちらは無地部分のない「総絞り」で、職人の減少により現代では特に希少な技法となっています。
重厚感があり、冬にはとても暖かくお召しいただける一着です。
