Material: Silk
It's like a jacket you wear to formal occasions. It is usually worn over a plain kimono.
The black haori is high-class, but the embroidered flowers are sprinkled in a playful way.
Chrysanthemums and autumn leaves are in autumn, plums are in early spring, so they are in different seasons, but these three patterns are very loved by Japanese people and are often used for kimono patterns regardless of the season.
You can see the artist's commitment to creating a sense of unity with a red gradation instead of using various colours.
Plum’s patterns are drawn inside.
About 1,300 years ago, plums were brought to Japan from China.
Since then, they have been loved by aristocrats for its lovely flowers and their pleasant fragrance in the cold.
Attached to the centre of the collar of the kimono is a "haori string", which is convenient and can be adjusted according to your body shape without using buttons or hooks.
Since it is a formal kimono, white strings are used.
This is the history of this kimono before they meet you.
Now they will make another history with you.
